Out of Bounds

Love – a gift from above

With the sign of a dove

Giving peace and joy

To every girl and boy.

Love – is to be together

Living with one another

Joined in physical unity

For all eternity

Love – is pain and loss

When cultures cross

You can be good friends

But here is all ends.

Loneliness IV

I look around

To try and find

A brightness in the gloom

To cheer an endless drudge

Of pain,

Of hurt,

Of loneliness.

Friends seem so far away

So unfaithful,

So preoccupied, ignoring

Not caring.

I need love!!

And yet, looking closer

I can see

A light shining bright

A limp figure on a cross

Loving, suffering

Dying for me!

Someone who is faithful

Someone who does care

And provides everything I need

And yet He is the Creator

THE God

And still loves me.

Can life be so meaningless?

Mundane chores occupying

Every waking hour!

Can life be so desperate?

Struggling to survive

Day after day!

Can life be so hurtful?

Every blow of the hammer

Fastening to coffin shut!

Life can be joyful!

New life can be found

Through another’s sacrifice!

One week queues

The next queues.

The first for food not there

The second waiting for a table.

The first prices beyond means

The second ample to spare.

One people starving to death

Another eating for entertainment.

You started to trust me

Yet you couldn't see

In a safe, happy, world.

You completely opened up, unfurled

Yourself to be told, by me,  you couldn't be loved.

Witness, Bible, prayer:
