So, the craziness in this Country politically continues.

On one hand we have the anger about a clerk in Kentucky who is jailed for refusing to the follow the law and issue a marriage license for a gay couple.   In  way I respect her for standing up for what she believes.  If she felt that strong she should have quit though and not broken the law (Romans 13).    Of course the right wing have jumped all over this encouraging people to break the law and move into anarchy.   I wonder what law I can break today and get their support?    The other side to this story is the gross hypocrisy.   I don't want to judge the individual in question as that is against all the tenets of my faith.    However, if we want to take this approach and judge everything via a legalistic interpretation of  especially the Old Testament Law the clerk should refuse divorce, to marry anyone who has been married previously, who are already living together, who are already having sex in fact refuse for anyone no matter what if they fall outside the Judea-Christian faith.  Period!!!   The other argument we are hearing is that Christian's are now getting persecuted in this Country.   What a ludicrous statement.   I challenge anyone who things that to talk to those in Countries where living the faith can result in sever torture or death.   In this Country there are pastors that are millionaires' whilst those in their Church cannot afford a meal, or healthcare, or have somewhere to live.

If there is an persecution in the Church today it is against those who actually believe what Jesus said and to love everyone equally and be peace makers and not to hate.

Then, we come to other hand.   These so called right wing Christian politicians are against a plan that at least at heart tries to bring peace to the Middle East.   Is the Iran peace plan a good or bad thing.  I honestly don't know as I have not read however, the intent has to be good.   To try and bring peace to a whole area where there has been so much destruction and death.   So, why do those that profess to follow the teachings of The Christ "blessed are the peacemakers" and indeed the whole sermon on the mount so opposed to peace and to "Love their enemies"?   I don't know.   They can only answer that.  What I see is a selective following of Christ, if it all to follow an individual political agenda.  Christ is not for politics.   He is not for just America.   He is for everyone.  For every individual in the World to hear and follow.

It's time for all believers around the World to stand up for their Faith, their God and their Saviour and not let a few loud,  self-involved people distort it for their own ends with their own hypocrisy.    What did Jesus call the Pharisees and the Jewish leaders whilst he was walking on the earth?
